Founded in 1997 at THE Ohio State University,BTSD began life as a student sport club under the department of RecSports. It survived the razing of Larkins Hall, the building of the RPAC and other shifting priorities and politics.

The pandemic saw a 3 year gap of training being offered, as people masked up and businesses shuttered.

In May of 2023, BTSD is opened once again, re-homed in the heart of Clintonville.
